11:52 p.m.

i ended up having a fairly stressful day at work today (business and deadlines), so after that and after a therapy session that almost had me in tears, i was feeling wiped out. i was also shaky from having hardly eaten. good thing i had plans with amy e to get dinner afterwards. when i got to her house, i was a bit crazed and talking a mile a minute, but after we went out and got some food, i mellowed out a little. theres a new krispy kreme in our neck of the woods, so that was on the agenda, as well. then we watched a wacky japanese movie from the 50s. its about a boy whose family wont buy a tv, so he stops talking. oh, and i finally got to meet little orange kitty, one of the stray cats that amys family is taking care of. l.o.k. was so. damn. cute. she was so friendly and happy. id have brought her home with me if my own kitty wouldnt explode and die from having to share me.

the other day, i received in the mail a bill from the lovely people at sallie mae. it was a bill for some interest that i owe on my student loans. $1.90 in interest. i cant believe those idiots sent me a bill for that muchor little, i should say. those people waste so much paper. in other weird mail news, i got a letter from the department of health and human services telling me that ive been randomly selected to take part in a childhood immunization study. since i dont have any kids, i doubt ill qualify. it was pretty cool, though. when i lived with my sister, our apartment was an address that the census bureau was using to track employment data. every few months, a census person would call us and find out all kinds of things about our jobs and education. i guess im a big nerd, but i like doing stuff like that. maybe thats part of the reason i ended up with a job doing research.

a year ago today, i met my boy. it was completely random and totally by chance, and i think im extremely lucky that we did come into contact with each other. i cant imagine my life without him, and i dont want to. i could get all mushy here, but ill spare you. (oh, and he wrote about it here.)

quotes of the day:

you have to have a lemon on it. what the hell? garnish-loving man in the booth behind us at the restaurant

me: do i look amish?
amy e: you look wonderful.
(the reason for the weird look on my face is because i wasnt sure whether to look serious or to smile)
