i drove back from ontario today. i ended up staying an extra day partially because i wanted the roads to clear up a bit from the snow and partially because i wasnt quite ready to leave my boyTM yet. i wanted one more day to hang out, and i wanted one more night to sleep in his arms. (oh look at me being all sappy.) anyway, we had a fun day yesterday. i wanted to go to The Store With The Best Pocky Selection EverTM, and then we got yummy sushi. we ended up at the ghetto mall and risked being thrown out of canadian tire. i tried on some hockey equipment and almost ran into a shelf while on a skateboard. i am very easily entertained. after all this time, youd think that the novelty of all things canadian would have worn off. oh no. not for me. i have laughing fits in the grocery store ("melting moments? what the hell kind of a name for a cookie is that?"), tim hortons ("what the hell is a tim bit?"), and the drug store ("that is the hugest oh henry i have ever seen.!"). im sure i both embarrass and entertain the boyTM. and then theres the never-ending ruckus over the pronunciation of the word "pasta."

we went to toronto again on monday to see ladytron. before the show, we met up with a bustie and some of her friends for dinner. it was pretty fun, though the way the seating arrangements were, we didnt get to talk much. the show rocked; they played a lot of songs--everything id hoped to hear--and they sounded great.

after the show, we slogged back in the slush and bone-chilling cold to fetch my car in the parking garage. when we got there, we saw a sign that said the garage closed at one AM. it was just after one. a sign told us to call for after hours access, so we set off in search of a pay phone (i wish i still had my cell in times like that). luckily, it wasnt too much of a hassle. we finally got on the road, and not long after that, we discovered the hard way that no wiper fluid was coming out. of course, the road was snowy and slushy and wet, and my visibility dropped to what was probably an unsafe level. but i was determined to get home as fast as possible--i was tired as hell. however, when im tired i get frustrated easier, and the bad roads were a bit scary, so we had to exit and see what was up with the wiper fluid. the tank wasnt empty, so we thought maybe it was frozen. we managed to get enough to clean off the windshield, and i set off again. i managed to freak out minimally. i dont know how bill has such patience with me. i think i would have left me by the side of the road. im glad he didnt. i wouldnt have been pleased to have to sell my body for a ride back to hamilton.
