2003-01-08 today, i had a very condescending conversation with a woman from the claims department of my car insurance company. it was about the accident i had before new year's where a stupid SUV blocked my view so i backed my car into someone else's. the ever-so-helpful claims woman told me, "we give people driving down the aisle in the parking lot the right of way. we do not have the right of way when we are backing up." bitch. in other driving news, i am tempted to install a cowcatcher on the front of my car in order to plow through the herds of undergrad students who wander the streets, oblivious to oncoming cars and the color of the traffic lights. yes, i know this is western pennsylvania and that pedestrians have the right-of-way, but did you all not learn in kindergarten to look both ways?? and while i am ranting...i have decided that all men who drive SUVs with american flag stickers plastered on them should be sent to a remote island where they can battle each other for supreme alpha-maleness. thank you. |
