2002-07-22 one question vastly more important than the one about the chicken and the egg or how they build bridges underwater is "why does courtney go to bed so late when she knows she won't be able to get up the next morning?" yeah, i don't know either. i had a super sporty day yesterday. i went for a 5 mi. rollerblade jaunt in the morning, and when i got back, i discovered that molly wanted to go biking. i've been itching to use my bike more, and that evening, we went to a fabulous trail neither one of us had been on before. it paralleled one of the rivers, and each bend brought us a new surprise: the heinz factory, the football and baseball stadiums, cute waterfront apartments. personally, i was astounded by all the freaking geese and rabbits we saw. it was a great bike ride. it was worth my anxiety about my bike rack. i wasn't quite sure how it worked, and i had visions of my bike falling off the car in the middle of the street and causing an accident for other drivers and mortification for me. we ended up not going to the blues festival on saturday, which was more than fine by me. winfrey, sarah, and i were driving down to it when we all admitted that we really didn't want to go, and furthermore, we didn't even like blues. so we ate thai food, got stoned, and watched a movie. i like my new friends. *** quotes of the day: "i don't mind hippies; they're everywhere." -winfrey's dad "i'm starting to think aunt flo is like santa claus and visits everyone she can in one fell swoop. although, if one considers the effect on mood it's more like a visit from the parents." -amy b molly: you need a [bike] helmet. |
