2002-02-19 i wasn't going to be at work today. i had two interviews scheduled, but my first one cancelled. i still get to be out of the office this afternoon, though. it's such a nice day, and i get to meet michelle for lunch, 'cause i'll be over in her neck of the woods for the interview. last night, i was really making a serious effort to work on my thesis. then my neighbors downstairs started smoking pot, and the smell was coming up through the heat vent. obviously, i don't mind the pot smoking or even a little whiff. it's not a bad smell...just not in such vast quantities. since the heat vent blows directly at my computer table, it distracted me, and i couldn't work. so i got half a page written last night. go me. *** quote of the day: parking lot attendant, taking my extra set of car keys from me: wow, i wish everyone did that. *** today's quiz results: (tell me something i don't know.)
