2001-11-14 amy b and i are trying to iron out the details for katrina's birthday party friday. how much alcohol to get...what food to have...whose stereo is better...who to invite and who are we stuck inviting....etc etc. it has taken us a surprising amount of time to plan this thing--her birthday was 2 weeks ago. (and did i mention she turned 30? hahahahahahaha) we wanted to do something different...turns out, we're doing what we do every time. drink and get rowdy. at least we're doing it in a new locale, as amy just moved into a new place. our planning session took place over sushi, and we kept being sidetracked over such concerns as "when are we going to go to ikea?" and "how can someone die in a pile of manure?" truly, we are out to solve the problems of the world. *** quotes of the day: "carpools! they're so rockin'!" -amy e "i need to stop exhaling." -amy b "there's something you don't see every day...a black man with a flute." -amy b *** recommended reading: "sellavision" by augusten burroughs. i just started reading it, and it's great.
