every so often, amy e and i like to think up reasons of "why it's good to be a grown-up." not that we're experts or anything. hell, we waste our money on hello kitty pocky and cute makeup bags with kittycats on them at old navy. but, at 25, we're relatively new at this grown-up thing. so here are some reasons we've thought of. (the ones i can remember, anyway)

1. you don't have a bedtime.

2. no one yells at you for getting hair dye on the towels.

3. candy for dinner!

4. you can buy whatever the hell you want at the grocery store. (i no longer have to give away all the cans of green beans to a food drive.)

5. you can buy whatever sheets you want for your bed. (mature adult that i am, i am partial to ones with stars and rocketships.)

6. you can wear the same clothes two days in a row if you want to.

anyone have any more?

here's a lovely pic of bono's bum, if anyone's interested. thank you amy e for this contribution.

quotes of the day:

me: "did you hear about the blizzard in north dakota?"
michael: "who lives in north dakota?"

amy: "i have sheets with cars and buildings on them. they're terrestrial."
me: "mine have stars and rocketships. they're celestial."

new song i made up for my cat: "i bought you a present/i bought you some cat food/yum yum yum yum yum." i probably shouldn't live alone.

i realize this is a pointless entry. so sad, too bad. i have to avoid work somehow.
