ever notice how certain songs or albums remind you of certain seasons or times of day? i've noticed that some albums are just made for sunny days. some are for being snowed in. others are perfect for the quiet of twilight or the whoosh of a road trip.

i recently read that studies are being conducted on music and humans. the investigators want to figure out why music is so important to us...why significance it has evolutionarily and what parts of the brain are affected by music. i think it's fascinating, but then, i'm a biology nerd.

(perhaps this research can help me figure out why i have such a fondness for cheesy erasure songs.)
