2001-12-20 today is a much better day than yesterday. this morning as i was on my way to work, we (the bus, that is) were pulling up to an intersection when all these motorcycle cops drove up and stopped traffic. a minute or so later, a caravan drove through, and in the midst of it was the olympic torch. that was really cool. the olympics is one of the few things that i am not cynical about. my old boss gave me jammies from old navy as an xmas pressie. she knows me too well. and i just had a great IB lunch with kristen. so it's a good day. oh yeah, IB = indian buffet. one thing about me is that i abbreviate everything and assume people know what i'm talking about. and sometimes they do, which frightens me. "are you ready for RP?" i'll ask kristen, and she'll know i mean rice pudding. perhaps not all of my synapses are firing properly. *** quotes of the day!
